ConnectNY is made up of diverse independent institutions operating as ONE to maximize human resources.
Goal 1-1: Facilitate expertise sharing across CNY institutions. (Marta Brunner, Goal Sponsor)

- Produce a white paper on staff sharing models.

Goal 1-2: Create opportunities for staff at all levels and various functions to come together to share ideas and generate recommendations for initiatives. (Joanne Schneider, Goal Sponsor)

- Develop, schedule, and hold in-person meetings/conferences, and/or plan meetings in coordination with other conferences (e.g., ACRL, ALA) members may attend.

ConnectNY enhances and expands access to all types of collections: print, digital, and special.
Goal 3-1: Develop a thorough understanding of the breadth, depth, and scope of the collections across CNY and employ strategies to increase access to these collections. (Jeff Katz, Goal Sponsor)

- Explore the possibility of floating collections across the consortium based on use.

- The Committee for Digitization/Sharing Projects and Digital Rights Management will identify opportunities for grant funding for digitization and finding aid development, and investigate venues such as EADC and DPLA to share digital materials.

Goal 4-1: Evaluate the technology infrastructure of CNY to determine whether it is meeting the mission in the most efficient and cost-effective manner. (Brian Lym, Goal Sponsor)

- Prepare a white paper comparing our current technology infrastructure and other available technologies with the needs of the organization.
