Pratt Institute Libraries joined ConnectNY in June 2015.  Pratt offers degree programs in art, design, architecture, information and library science, and liberal arts and sciences to its 4,600 students in Brooklyn and Manhattan. Pratt Institute opened in 1887, with the library designed by William Butler Tubby opening in 1896. This library served as the Institute library and the public library until the opening of the Brooklyn Public Library in 1940. Today, the Pratt Institute Libraries’ collections include over 200,000 volumes of print materials, 600+ current periodical subscriptions, over 120,000 slides, microfilm, multimedia, rare books and the college archives.
